About Me

With almost 20 years’ experience in the industry, my work spans a range of sectors including workplace, retail, hospitality and leisure, education and residential. My passion for interior design has been a lifelong journey, one that started long before the days of Changing Rooms. It continues to drive me to push my creativity, expand my technical knowledge of materials, processes and products, and refine my personal performance. At the heart of my approach is a focus on user-focussed design that is thoughtful, practical and exceeds my clients’ expectations. I pride myself on being realistic, efficient and thorough in every project I undertake.

I graduated from the University of South Wales with a BSc in Interior Design in 2005 and began my career with a company specialising in workplace design and contract furniture. After ten years, I joined Momentum Contract Furniture Ltd, a well-established Cardiff-based furniture and design company, where I worked as lead designer. During this time, I delivered a wide range of commercial interior projects and developed a deep understanding of furniture, procurement and the realities of delivering projects on site.

In 2024, I launched Rhian Worgan Interior Design, working independently with clients and project teams across the UK. My current work builds on this experience, allowing me to offer a more flexible, hands-on design service while continuing to collaborate closely with architects, contractors and consultants to deliver considered, well-resolved interiors.

Throughout my career, I have developed in-depth knowledge of a broad range of UK and European furniture and lighting manufacturers and brands. I have worked closely with clients, architects and contractors to deliver well-resolved interiors, and I place great value on building strong, collaborative relationships. I believe these relationships are fundamental to the success of any project. In more recent years, I have also become a strong advocate for inclusive design.

On a more personal note, I have a long-suffering but extremely supportive husband, two teenage sons, and the cutest, scruffiest and most obedient dog you’ll ever meet. My eldest son has autism and ADHD, and I am also close to my mother-in-law, who is visually impaired. Experiencing the challenges they face in public spaces has reinforced my belief in the importance of inclusive design and has shaped the way I approach my work. I firmly believe that even the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.
